who they thought were the world-wide top female boxers and their
overwhelming answer was: HOLLY HOLM. Holly’s win comes as no
surprise since Holm is the pound for pound number one female

From the Hard Rock of Albuquerque: In the
shortest fight of her career, Holly Holm
(28-1-3, 8 KOs) scored a first round TKO over Jaime
Clampitt (21-4-1, 7 KOs), of Canada/Rhode Island. After
a somewhat tentative round, Clampitt suddenly sunk to her knees
and rolled onto her back at the 10-second warning bell,
clutching her right shoulder. Unable Clampitt unable to
continue, due to dislocated shoulder, Holm picked up the TKO
win, since there was no foul committed. Stay tuned for full

Lance Armstrong may say it’s not about the
bike, but, for seven-time (ten, if you can stomach more alphabet
soup) world champion Holy Holm, it’s not about the belt.
“I just want to win and fight the best out there,” says Holm
(27-1-3, 7 KOs), who will step into the ring this Friday against
top contender Jaime Clampitt (21-4-1, 7 KOs) in a ten-rounder

Former world champ Jaime Clampitt did not
expect to fight again after giving birth to her daughter last
year. Weight gain during pregnancy, the desire to train, let
alone fight, were all concerns. “I wasn’t sure how it was
all going to play out,” recalls Clampitt. “Being a mom – it was
a really big deal for me.”

When Randy Arrellin turned
professional in January of 2009, it seemed like everything was
going a thousand miles a minute. Randy just felt different once
he stepped in the ring; “not all there” as he says. "I
felt good after the weigh-ins but once it got closer to the
fight I just froze," says Arrellin in reference to his 1st round
TKO loss to Raymond Montes. "It was different compared to the
amateurs, but I think I learned from it and have improved each
time out."

A San Antonio native – Celina Salazar 3-0 will
be coming to Albuquerque, NM to fight Nohime Dennison on August
6th. Celina is from the Ramos Boxing Team. She made her
professional debut in April of 2009 by fighting Lisa Lamb who
was 5-3; she beat Lisa by unanimous decision. That was the first
of her three wins in 2009. Dennison is coming off an impressive
victory over hometown favorite, Brittney Cruz in Denver. The two
will collide on the undercard of Holm-vs-Clampitt IBA Title

The last hurricane that landed in
the Duke City to fight Holly Holm was Melissa “Huracan”
Hernandez, and she disappeared as quick as a New York minute.
And we all know what happened after that. Promoter Lenny
Fresquez assured the press that the Canadian-born “Hurricane,”
Jaime Clampitt would not be skipping out on her August 6
appointment with Holm.

4th round stoppage of former National Amateur Champion and
undefeated Professional Adam Ochoa steps back in the ring March
26,2010to face a more experienced fighter in heavy handed
Dominican Jonathan Arias 9-6 8 Kos, in a 6 round
bantamweight clash. Arias is on a 5 bout 5 KOs winning streak
since losing a 12 round split decision to undefeated Donis
Garcia for the Dominican Bantamweight title. For this bout Proa
and promoter Fresquez Productions sought after the only man to
blemish Proa’s record as a pro, Robert Guillen who turned down
several offers from Fresquez Productions. The promising 6 bout

KOs) will rematch Chevelle "Fists of Steel" Hallback (27-5-2, 11
KOs) March 26 at Isleta Casino and Resort south of Albuquerque.
The card, billed as Warrior Vengeanceand promoted by Fresquez
Productions, will see Holm defend her WIBA light welterweight
belt. In the co-main, an eight-rounder at jr. welter between two
former Holm opponents, top contender Terri Blair (11-14-3, 7
KOs) will take on Albuquerque�s Victoria Cisneros (3-8-2). Also
scheduled for the card: Albuquerque welter Josh �Pitbull� Torres
